The Country Priest represents Reel South in PBS Online Film Festival

Reel South's award-winning short film, The Country Priest, has been selected for this year’s PBS Online Film Festival. Directed by Carlos Estrada, the film is a timely portrait of rural southern Texas and a community priest struggling to keep his small congregation together despite the looming obstacle of a border wall.

About the film:
Father Roy Snipes has lived in Texas his whole life and seen it all, especially along the Mexico border. And yet, his religious faith remains strong – and down to earth. After the threat of a possible wall construction near a historic church in Mission, Texas, Father Roy and his community decide to take a stand.
